If you are considered old by the number of your years, I can definitely say, I like being old. A sweet day of well wishers, a special call from my loved and unique Uncle Edsel, gifts, emails, cards, phone calls, cake and a beautiful and delicious meal prepared by Abby. With a garden full of zinnia's to share with those you love, what better could life be.
A GREAT day with family at the lake to celebrate Abby's and Gaege's big day. Pictures say it all! With our Captain Gutting, great food at the marina and great fun in the water, we are all anxious to make this an annual affair in hopes that Rob will be with us next year to make it complete. As you can see Rob, Louis and Chad could use you to help with the navigation. Here's wishing Gaege and Abby, a great year and looking forward to your next birthdays on the pontoon.

Got a call from Chad yesterday and he and Gaege were coming a day early from Cub Scout camp and bringing 5 more to spend the night. Meeting a wonderful dad, Jonathan, his son, Spencer and 3 more Cub Scouts, Alex, Britian, and Harrison was a real treat. I was immediately instructed to sit down and cover my eyes. Gaege and his friends brought me a welcoming bear who we named, Blackberry. The evening was great with spaghetti supper and a lot of getting to know each other. After enjoying breakfast together and sending all back to Memphis, except Gaege, who is here for 10 day vacation, I am still enjoying the sweetness of a grown son and grandson bringing their wonderful friends to Juju's and Lulu's. This is truly what life is all about! As the field on our road is cut to prepare for winter, also are these wonderful boys and all they are learning through these good father's and the Cub Scouts. It gives us great hope for our future as great father's prepare their sons. What a pleasure to watch these boys relate to the men in their lives.
This week, I honor the Father's in my family . Especially, my own Father as a young Dad and as the Father who was such a role model for my boys. I honor, Chad, and I am not amazed how this little boy of mine has turned out to be such a loving husband and Father. 
Still having loved left over for his dogs, Tyler and Cloe. I celebrate Louis today. too. He has loved my children like a father, and has said often that they are the closest thing to his sons and daughter he will ever have. I am so blessed to have such men of character and unconditional love in my life . I thank God for Dad, Chad and Louis.
