What a day!

It all started with the bright idea that we could kill two birds with one stone.  We could have Thanksgiving and get Mom's house decorated for Christmas in same day.  We all pitched in and what a team we were.  We even got the yard raked, too.     The highlight of the day was Matt introducing his brother to us.  They met each other for the first time two months ago. Welcome to the family, Chris.  Thanks to all for a great day.

Thankful

Louis and I count our blessings as we share 50 years of Thanksgivng at Mom and Dad's home.  Woke up to smells of  a special dinner  on the stove and  once again we thank God for family and His blessings on this home over the last half a century.

Happenings

This blog is a little taste of all the going on's in our world.  The three A's-- Abby, Anna, and Amy spent a night at the new Convention center, in Murfreesboro, to attend a Women's Retreat that our church sponsored.  I missed staying in their beautiful room, but got to join them for most of the sessions.  We all were blessed for going.   Louis,  had a business meeting with his staff  and got funny looks when he called the meeting to order.  Rob, came to visit, but got inducted
into the work force and  unloaded fire wood with Louis.  He will think twice before coming next time!!  Caught Mom doing what she loves, making flower arrangements.  I think she missed her calling.   Kenneth and Steve came to the Memory House for our first dinner party.  Thanks to Steve for bringing us heaters to keep us warm. This was a perfect atmosphere for The Uncle to share some of his knowledge and wisdom into our past.  All in all, we are trying to be normal in the chaos of building.  Praying we can have some similis of Christmas at Springland. We will try to focus on the "Reason for the Season", and not the disarray of the circumstances around us.

Home Stretch

We thought surely before Thanksgiving we would move in and now we are praying to get in before Christmas. Mom, is great, but we will definitely smell like fish if we are still here on that special day in December at 600 North Church. Check out the first big party with our new Mexican friends. It is beginning to feel like home and Louis and I both are so very anxious for this adventure to be over. Christmas will be different with boxes all around, but I am looking so forward to all my children coming to celebrate our first Christmas at Springland, but more than that the birth of our Savior.
