Yes, not only does December bring the birth of Jesus, but I was also brought great joy in 1972 and 1974 when Chad and Rob were born in December. How the years have flown, but a Mother's love just gets deeper and deeper. I love seeing these two men come to see me. They loved Grandad Patton and Papa was a wonderful grandad and friend to them. Happy Birthday to my wonderful sons. Iam so proud of you both.
The first picture on this blog is Dr Nash and Trish's daughter, Beth, 30 years ago.
Today, Beth's son, Nash, is in the same pose at our 2009, office party.
At the bottom of this post you will see the stable, the baby Jesus and the Star of Bethlehem getting it's finishing touches. Louis and I got the sleigh ready for the porch and finally decorate the tree in the house and again, Louis has the honor to place another star. We lit 5 fireplaces and then the parties began. 65 wonderful friends in our Sunday School Class, bring food to eat that fills every inch of the kitchen counters, and fellowship that warms every heart. The next evening we have the pleasure to have the office Christmas party. With families, children and great food and sharing gifts around the tree, it couldn't help but put us all in the Christmas spirit. These friends, some I have worked with for 34 years, made it truly seen like part of my family was here. Louis and I are great at working together on these occasions and it a true blessing to give back to those we love.
Ms Anderton asked me to come help with 23 gingerbread houses for her classroom Christmas project. To see her decorated room, children missing two front teeth just in time for Christmas, kids loving on their teacher and the teacher having complete control of all 23 made me know my daughter was using the gift God gave her. What a great experience of joy and pride for her Mom.
Rob, always gives us such unique gifts. This one was a surprise dinner, cooked by Fellie, to let us experience genuine Thailand food. She is definitely a chef in the kitchen and the food was delicious. The flowered green tea was something to behold. Can't wait til she comes again.
