My Man

This is the builder of Springland--He watches over every detail and seemingly is enjoying the results of his labor.  What a man!

A bitter sweet day

Today we sold our house of 30 years in 10 hours after it was put on the market. Here is where my precious boys were raised and my only little girl was born. Where Lucky, Rosco Flint and Allie made their home and fish were caught , snakes were found and alot of army, skateboarding and play school was done. Here is where Birthdays were celebrated and Santa Clause was found. Here is where tears fell and laughter was heard. Here is where Kindergarden, Elementary school, High school and College were achieved. Where my boys turned into men and my little girl turned into a beautiful women. Here is where my children accepted Christ and alot of praying was done. Here is where grandchildren came to see JuJu and LuLu. Here is where we made a family to be apart of each of us, wherever we go. We will take our cherish memories of this place to forever be in our hearts and we will continue the rest of our lives, thanking God for each new day and for everyone who has blessed us in this place.

Springland and The Memory House

Rock finally in and brick well on it's way to completion.  Cabin is being chinked and fireplace is going up.  Natalie has named the cabin for us," Memory House", and we will continue to add memories to the two centuries that  this one room cabin already has.  Bring your fireworks and lets have a big forth of July together.

Happy Birthday, Mom!!

What a wonderful time to sing Mom's praises and tell her, Happy Birthday.  This year is like most of Mom's life.  Full of new and interesting things.  Books. baseball, email. blogs, mail ministry, luncheons, Cancun and keeping her home in top notch condition.  Mom, we are so proud of you and all that you do to keep your children coming to 600 North Church.  Happy Birthday and many more!!!  I love you!!

Sometimes you just need to throw rocks

Monday, Matt and all his strength, helped with the building of Springland.  It was a real work out. which he apparently loves to do.  He filled the back of his truck with huge rock for the chimney at the cabin.  Sometimes a man just needs to throw rocks, no matter what the size.  Keep Matt in your prayers as he tries to get his life in line with all his potential.  Anthony, is setting up shop at the job site, to make all the cabinets.  Slowly we are getting there!

The Uncle is 75 years young

After a successful day at the Doctors, with Mom, we talked her in to spending the night and the next day Hugh, Natalie, Mom, Louis and I headed out to help celebrate  the BIG day for Uncle Ken.             What a wonderful surprise party that  Uncle Ken's children had for him to celebrate his 75th birthday.  Wonderful food, candy, cake, balloons and games made for a great celebration.  Terry and Janet, thank you for letting us all come over to honor this wonderful man.  Note the beautiful heirloom quilt Janet inheirted from her great  great Grandmother. Beautiful and in great condition to have been made in 1882.     Great stories to tell and share.  The horrors of childhood came out with full detail of Grandmother tying Kenneth in Dot's lap . Hugh being sent on bus at 2 years old with a bottle and diaper in coat pocket and sign around his neck and me hiding Mother's watch behind the door.  We need to hear more,  so mark your calendar for the big 80. in 2013.  We love you, Ken!

Aunt Paulette and Mom

What an unexpected evening with time enjoyed with one of my most admired people. My Aunt Paulette has shown so many of us how to keep on keeping on and how to make a difference in so many lives, especially those of young minds so willing to learn truth while learning from a wonderful teacher who lives and knows the  truth.  Great job, Paulette!

Sunday Blessings

Three generations of Willard men set in front of Louis and I at our Church's 8 o'clock service.  I couldn't help but feel Betty's spirit , again, being so proud of her Men.  I couldn't help but be thankful to have family to worship with.  Casey, like me, will always remember sitting by his Grandfather at church.  Louis and I stayed with the walkers and wobblers at the 9:30 service.  We had 7 wobblers, 3 walkers and 1 crier.  Louis is a natural to make a child feel safe and secure.
