After sitting out the chance to help with the tomato canning, can you believe when I came home this morning from Springland with a box Lou put in my car, she gave me four jars of those canned tomatoes? I could not believe it. Dad sure did love Tomatoe Soup made with home canned tomatoes. I will have to make some to remember. Just as I splash Old Spice to remember.
Its crazy the things that you experience that remind you of things in the past. I remember canning tomatoes. Boy do I ever. Me and Mom making a mess all over the kitchen, hunting up those stupid lids, burning your hands and arms with hot water, calling Mom when I started canning on my own in my own home wanting to know what I did wrong. Laughing at each other over all the hard work when we could have picked them up at Krogers.
Some things are just better homemade. Thank you for the reminder. You just put a big smile on my face.
Mother, wife, Mother-in -Law and Grandmother, daughter and sister---All these roles I cherish. Lulu and I want our family to stay in touch. So we now have our own Blog. This is all new to me so help me if you can to make this a success. Any thing happening in your world, please share with your family.. Let's try this and see how it can Keep Us In Touch. Love, Moma
