Come to think about it, Decoration Day at Jones Hill has been a Day that I have had apart of my life for 63 years. As I get older and each time I go, I am more aware of the fact that it is somewhat like the feeling of home there. The reunion of family and friends, the beauty of the hilltop, and each one going to make beautiful their plot of land and then a moment to remember gives each of us a sense of closeness. The short service was good. Seeing Leeann Talley, Patsy Patton and her beautiful daughter, Edy was a treasure. A precious surprise was Tonya and Matt arranging flowers for my sister Betty's grave. And Of course, watching Mother approving Dad's new flowers makes be know she will never stop taking care of him. Thank you, Mom, for the day and the time we had together to remember all we have shared through the generations.

Today. as I often do, I think of my Racquet Club wonderful neighbors, Ruth and Jim. Good neighbors are sometimes hard to find, especially when they enrich your life as they did. Ruth is a wonderful artist and Jim is a retired Captain in the Navy. We thank you today for loving us all those years and especially Jim for serving our country. We love and miss you!

- Louis and I headed to Memphis to watch Gaege play baseball Monday, but game was called off because of rains. Instead, we enjoyed a wonderful evening with Lisa, Chad, Kyle, Gaege and Courtney and a sleep over before every one headed in different directions. We got to see Gaege's new contacts, help him with project for school, throw some baseball and watch him swim. Kyle, talked about up coming graduation events and decisions for his future. Tuesday morning we took Gaege to school and back home to mow. We loved being with our Memphis family and look forward to a quick return for Graduation Day for Kyle!!

We met Michele, Billy and Nate's grandmother, Fay Baby, at early church and then came out to Springland for Sunday Brunch. Abby's good friend Amy and her husband, Matt, along with Nana joined in on the fun. We are so blessed to already feel like family even though we will not officially be until November 10th. Plans are in the making for a wonderful wedding day!
