Celebration of 10 Wonderful years

On our anniversary, we quietly slipped off to Sewanee, Tennessee to revisit the place we were married. Louis and I both will agree that this passed decade has been the best of our lives. We sit in amazement of the love we have found and God's blessings on us as He orchestrated our meeting. Louis has shown my children and I what selfless and unconditional love is and how sweet everyday life can be. In 2001, just in time for our wedding, Louis found, on a mountain top in Tennesse , the place we called "The Falls" because of the huge 3 stage waterfall that started at our front door and ended at the bottom of the gorge. The beauty of this place will never be forgotten and as Kate, my niece, so beautifully wrote in the poem she penned and recited for our wedding "the Thundering of the waterfalls", was heard all over the property. Working and trying to keep 2 homes was more than we wanted to handle so, reluctantly, we sold the Falls after 4 years of pleasure and adventure. Louis, then set out to design and build, Springland. His heart was again set to give his bride an unique and new adventure, which indeed it has been. As we celebrate Memorial Day, I will share our 1st display of the American Flag at Springland. Also, the entrance, bluff view, garden spot and porch at the Falls where we married. There is a glimpse of the waterfall in one picture, but the beauty of the Falls could never be captured on film. Finally, a picture of my wonderful husband with all his charm and wit. Louis and I thank God for his blessings on our country and for His hand on our lives. We pray for His continued protection of America and for many more years together. As Louis says, he is asking for 20 more years with an option for another 20. I love this Man!

A Very Full Month!

We will start this blog with a beautiful winter 4 " snow that kept me home instead of the full day that was planned. Abby, Louis and I had great fun sledding and making our own "Frosty the Snowman". Sunday, was spent with Mom, reluctantly taking down the tree for her. Somehow, it is always hard to take down a tree that has such sweet memories of Christmas and Christmas's past. The picture of the sleigh on our porch is Dad's contribution to my Christmas's the past 27 years. Without him it would never had been restored. It, too, is hard to put away after the holidays so we have kept it out for the winter snows. Our Christmas at home was some what sad because Rob, Chad, Lisa, Kyle and Gaege couldn't be here, but we made it Ok by sharing Christmas week end with Felly, Rob's good friend from Thailand, who found great pleasure and appreciation in all that Christmas holds. We also got the gift of a white Christmas and Mom spending the night with us, Christmas Eve. Yes, the past 4 weeks were full of cooking, a lot of grandmother's boil custard, shopping, decorating, wrapping and family and friends. What better Christmas gift and blessing is that.

Queen Mum

The Queen Mum was seen shopping, today, at one of her favorite stores in the
Boro. Her subjects were amazed at her grace and youthfulness as she meander through the store looking for just the right gift for Prince Hugh, Princess Merry and Judy. Long Live the Queen!!

Crown Found

32 years ago, a prince of a boy, thought his Mother deserved a crown for Christmas. Rob, is known for special and thoughtful gift giving, and this special Christmas is when it started. He wanted his Mom to have a crown and you can tell by his eyes that he was proud of his gift. Over the years, whether or not, he still thought I was worthy of his crown, I have proudly worn it each Christmas . During our move, two years ago, I thought I had lost one of my most valued memories and today I was tearfully surprised to find the crown my son gave me so long ago. The tradition will live on and the memory of that special moment is one of my most treasured.

Visit to The Anderton's

Been too long so Louis and I headed to Chad and Lisa's for a quick visit. Met Gaege at the bus stop and then listen to each of the guys showing natural talent at the piano. The evening was full of football fun, especially watching Arlington High School's kicker. Kyle's yellow shoes help us keep our eye on him and watched him kick 5 extra points and 1 field goal. What an athlete!! Gaege and I enjoyed a trip to Cub Scout store, Target and working on computer homework. It was good to see a day in the life of the Anderton's
