He has Risen Indeed!

Easter at Mom's found the Queen not feeling very well, but lunch was wonderful and I think the day rallied Mom to more like her old self.  The Willard family won the prize for most family members present.  Flower boy, Aubrey,  love birds, Ken and Anna, new driver permit, Casey and no animals rights crowd, Leigh and Thomas.  {In the last group I will include Natalie}.  You might  had to have been there to know what all  this means????

Land grant cabin

The look and feel of a log cabin gives me a sense of the past, hearth and home.  So. Louis said, when I found this 200 year old cabin that I could choose the  cabin or a replacement for my 10 year old car.  No question about it for me, I choose the cabin.  That's history that is not easily found. You can buy cars all day, any day.  So, this week the footers are poured and off we go to add a cabin to the grounds of Springland.  I know we can put it to good use in some way.

Run, Bill, Run

The Doctor I have worked for for 31 years is in the decision making process of when to retire and or cut back , over the next year or two.  Because of his endless contributions to the city of Smyrna and his 40 years of practicing Dentistry, 37 in Smyrna,  two honors were presented to him this week.  Being a runner all his life, marathons, half marathons, etc, the Parks and Recreation Department presented him with a run in his name. The Bill Nash Competitive Mile, which will be run annually.  The Sam Davis home will incorporate a 5 k run with their annual barbecue and the trophies will be named the Nash Dash Award.  This wonderful man is respected and loved in the community  and it is great to honor him with his passion of The Race!

A Lovely Evening

Abby came over and shared her excitement of Amy's, [her good friend and room mate], wedding, this week end in Florida. The wedding will be on a yacht and certainly will be stunning with these bevies of Beauties draped against the backdrop of the beautiful seas. A mother loves to share in those special times in her children lives. Louis and I had an exclusive viewing and fashion show of her designer bridesmaid dress--Even without make up, my little girl is beautiful!

GOOD TO SEE THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE

This week end, Lou and I got to see the one God used to bring us together 8 years ago. Without her doing what she thought God was calling her to do, I would not have had a second chance to happiness.  Priscilla and her husband, George, met us for dinner, Friday night.   Chad, Lisa and boys came by to see us on the way to Memphis. I sure have some handsome grandboys.  I love you, Boys!!

Decisions, Decisions

Things were happening today.  Carpenters, electricians, plumbers, backhole, staircase people and The General {Louis} made a huge dent of progress at Springland.  Still not time for Coffee, but getting closer.

Sisters are We

Some things are special in life and get better with age.  That is true of  how I feel about my Sis, Merry!  Lou and I got to show her around Springland Manor yesterday and I am looking forward to many times together there.  She also got to see Lou hard at work making sure the house is strong enough for anything that comes our way.  Scripture on the door post  to make sure we remember who is the rock of our foundation and that for us, we will serve the Lord!

SNOW

W woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow today.  For a few moments we think all is right with the world.  What a blessing to wake up to snow.

Taking Shape

Roof rafters are going up.  Louis still having fun. Let me know if your tired of progress reports.  New things happening every day.  I'm sure that will stop when inside detail starts.

Creek in back of SPRINGLAND MANOR

View from second floor.  Construction site and second floor porch view.  Creek on back of property is not the river but atleast water.  Don't think we can use our canoe.
