Today, Louis and I took Mom to Decoration Day at Jones Hill Cemetery. My forefathers and their families have a stone that marks their life for us to remember. My personnel memories are still fresh of Grandmother and Grandaddy Patton, Betty, Uncle Johnnie, and Dad. This day was so important to Daddy and becomes more important to me with each stone we erect to remember. Here are some reflections of the day.
What a beautiful spot to remember those who have gone before us. For us, it is a place so rich in history, filled with the names of loved ones who were our examples for living a good and Godly life.
Wish I could have been with you to remember.
Tell me where to send it and I will send a check to help with the yearly maintaince of this lovely hill top. Thanks for the pictures.
Mother, wife, Mother-in -Law and Grandmother, daughter and sister---All these roles I cherish. Lulu and I want our family to stay in touch. So we now have our own Blog. This is all new to me so help me if you can to make this a success. Any thing happening in your world, please share with your family.. Let's try this and see how it can Keep Us In Touch. Love, Moma
